26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards: All the Must-See Highlights

Ghana’s biggest night in music did not disappoint! The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), held in Accra, brought out the stars, the surprises, and the unforgettable moments that have everyone talking.
From emotional wins to iconic performances, here is a full recap of the glitz, the glory, and the gossip from TGMA 2025.
The night’s biggest moment? King Promise finally clinched the coveted Artist of the Year title after years of being seen as the industry’s “almost” king. Fans erupted with joy across social media as his win marked a well-deserved career milestone. With back-to-back chart-topping and international collaborations, it was a win many saw coming and few could argue against. During his acceptance speech, he held back tears and said, “This is for the fans who never stopped believing.”
There is no talking about TGMA without mentioning Stonebwoy, who once again proved his domination by winning Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year – for the 10th time! His incredible performance that night, which combined energy, live vocals, and Caribbean rhythm to create a crowd-shaking act, reminded everyone why he remains unrivaled in his genre. “We raise the bar and set the pace,” he yelled on stage. “Forever, one Gad!”
The lyrical genius Kofi Kinaata added yet another Songwriter of the Year award to his name—his fifth in this category. Known for incorporating inspirational messages into memorable tunes, his reliability and skill were duly praised. “Each song conveys a message. I am merely the messenger,” Kinaata said modestly behind the scenes.
OliveTheBoy took home the Best New Artist award, surprising many but thrilling Gen Z fans who have championed his genre-blending style all year. His speech was short and sweet, dedicating the win to “the dreamers from Accra to the world.“
